What I also love is having a sister whose closet I can occasionally raid when looking for the right accessory, in this case, the extremely fab Chanel necklace, which adds the perfect amount of glam to this casual look.

I love to layer. The only problem with that is living in Miami and facing the summer heat. I'm not allowed to layer as much as I'd like. However, I've developed a liking for Vests. Like a blazer, but without sleeves. Genious! This one I borrowed from my bestie as I wasn't fast to snatch it when Zara had it available. I'm keeping my eyes open though. In the meantime, I'll keep having a vested interest in fall fashion by layering with whatever cooler, in both sense, alternatives I can get my hands on. Hope you're having an amazing week so far.

Perfection, In A Shoe Of Course

I had contemplated and searched for and even purchased another pair of ankle booties, which at the moment I had thought was the perfect pair. Don't get me wrong I do still love them and find them very functional. However, It was until I came across these Celine metallic heeled ones that I truly

understood the meaning of perfection, in a shoe of course. I had been eyeing some Prada metallic heeled sandals and was over the moon thrilled that I never settled for those. I did, though, contemplate buying them in tan but thanks to my trusty friend and sister, you guys know who you are, I decided on black. You can never have enough black they said. If you put it that way, I have to agree. With Miami weather quickly approaching the highs, these peep toe version of an ankle boots are perfect. Believe it or not, just that little exposure for insulation can make all the difference. I am not one to compromise comfort for fashion, so trust me when I say they are super comfortable as well. They aren't, however, current, but if you wear what you like versus what's trending, I believe that shows true style. The past few days have been surprisingly cool in Miami lately but of course I have relished in this and taken the opportunities to layer and wear as much sweaters as possible. When I find and purchase something I truly love I will wear it season after season, style has no rules for me. These Zara Camo jeans are no exception to that rule. Finally the temperature dropped for a couple days, literally 2, and gave me the opportunity to debut my Isabel Marant pour H&M sweater. Did I say finally? I enjoy "chilly" weather since I was born and raised in the Caribbean heat. Now it's back to the 80's but hopefully soon I'll be able to throw on some more sweaters soon. First off, I wouldn't be bringing you guys this post if it wasn't allll thanks to my mom, so... I'd like to say Happy Mother's Day!! Second, it was all a coincidence I decided to throw on both Alexanders at the same time, so I might just have to read the omens and name my first son Alexander...:/ ;) I spent the day with family of course, had some amazing crème brulee stuffed French toast <3 Breakfast is my fav mealof the day btw.
